If we needed to make our own cables for some of the power I/O, do you offer connectors to interface with the hub?

Yes, we offer connectors for alternator in, solar in, AC out, AC in, DC out, and battery connectors.

Alternator

What secondary 48V alternator suppliers do you work with? I think Charlie said ARCO Zeus?

Currently, we are only working with ARCO Zeus.

Do you have instructions or application info for implementing a secondary alternator?

Yes. See '48V Alternator Details_2025-5-6' document. After wiring, a configuration file needs to be introduced into the ARCO Zeus app.

Battery

What are the battery listings/certifications? Must meet RVIA/NEC requirements for RVs.

The battery is SGS Listed to UL 1973. The SGS c/us Listed mark is shown on the battery label. UL1973 and UL60730 are available. Please specify if additional certifications are needed.

The battery must not be stored above 113F or below 68F - what are the consequences? At what length of time does this become significant?

68°F–113°F is the specified long-term storage range. Temperatures outside this range do not imply immediate damage, but prolonged or repeated exposure can increase self-discharge and accelerate cell aging. No fixed duration is specified. During usage, the auto-heat feature will heat the battery to 68°F.

LFP battery cable comes with each battery, so we don't need to order separately?

Correct. Each battery comes with its cable; no separate ordering is needed.

What is the battery heating logic and extreme cold mode?

-40°F to 32°F (-40°C to 0°C): heating only, no charging. 32°F to 71.6°F (0°C to 22°C): charging while heating. Extreme Cold Mode: active battery-assist heating, only works when battery temp is between -5.8°F and 32°F (-21°C to 0°C), no fault, and SOC is above 50%. Each battery's heating module consumes about 250-300W.

What are the effects of discharging the LFP battery below -4°F / -20°C at moderate load?

The specified cutoff temperature is based on the nominal design value of -20°C (-4°F). A certain tolerance exists in real-world operations. At very low temperatures, internal resistance increases significantly, which can result in: reduced available capacity, increased voltage drop under load, lower power output capability, and earlier low-voltage protection triggering under heavy loads. These effects are typically temporary and recover once the battery returns to normal operating temperature. Occasional operation below -20°C under moderate discharge loads is generally not expected to cause permanent damage, although performance may be noticeably reduced.

Communication

Does PKG2 have RV-C communication, or do we need to translate from J1939 CAN?

Yes, PKG2 supports RV-C communication, but a PowerLink is needed.

Can you share .dbc and .sym files for the J1939 CAN protocol?

A list of currently used PGNs can be compiled and shared. Please specify which components (DC source, inverter, solar charger, etc.) are needed.

Power Assist

What is X-Fusion Power Assist? Can it boost AC out from shore or gen to 50A?

X-Fusion Power Assist can supplement the input source with up to 5kVA (~4.2kW) whenever the load exceeds available grid or generator capacity. AC input/output cables come in 30A and 50A options. AC output is capped at 5kVA; overload protection triggers if downstream loads exceed this. Shore power input current can be set manually in the app/console.

X-Fusion: When and how is it activated?

In passthrough mode, if AC out requires more power than shore power, this feature will be activated automatically.

X-Fusion: At the listed '5000VA max' does it actually provide a 'boost' up to 41.6 amps at 120-volts? If so, for what period of time?

5000VA / 4000W is the max constant power. Surge: 7500VA for 380ms, 10000VA Max.

X-Fusion: Is the primary function designed to boost 15-amp/1800W or 20-amp/2400W 120V output to the 33.3-amp (4000VA) equivalent?

Yes, it is mainly used in situations where shore power is insufficient.

PowerHub

Can the alternator #1 input current be limited, such as 80A? (For Mercedes, gen2)

Yes, gen2 PowerHub can be limited to 80A manually. Both max input and max output are 100A.

Altitude limit of 6,562ft - what are the consequences of exceeding this? (Santa Fe, Flagstaff)

The 2,000m limit is related to cooling and electrical safety margins. At higher altitudes, thinner air reduces cooling efficiency and insulation (clearance through air). Operation slightly above 2,000m does not necessarily cause immediate fault, but it is outside the validated operating range. Based on ~4 years of field experience with multiple OEM customers, no altitude-related issues have been reported in normal operation. Extreme conditions (substantially higher altitude + continuous full power) would be more significant.

Alternator Input #1 / PV Input #1: Is it DC-DC charge-controlled? What are the voltage conversion rules?

Yes, it is DC-DC charge-controlled. All inputs on the PowerHub will be converted to approximately 54V and fed into the 48V bus bar. The 48V bus bar is connected to three battery ports and the 48V output port. Examples: 60V input (at 66.7A / limited to 4000W) would be controlled to charge the battery at a nominal 54V at 74A maximum. 13V input (at 100A / up to 1300W) would be boosted to charge the battery at a nominal 54V at 24A maximum.
